Downtown LA has been one of our favorite spots so far on our adventure through Los Angeles. Every place we visited was filled with friendly owners and employees, delicious food, and local products. Here are our favorite spots in Downtown LA.

Eat: Mexicali Taco & Co.

This downtown spot features some of the best tacos, quesadillas, and aguas frescas in Los Angeles. We were particularly blown away by the addition of pineapple in the Mexicali Taco

The Pie Hole

This downtown LA shop is home to some of the most unique and delicious pies in Los Angeles. We had the Earl Grey Tea pie. With an earl grey infused white chocolate filling on top of chocolate ganache and a graham cracker crust, we were blown away. To drink, we had the Cafe Cubano. The owner of the Pie Hole used her grandfather's recipe for this classic coffee drink. The Pie Hole is partnered with the Skid Row Housing Trust, providing permanent supportive housing for the homeless.

This bright spot is filled with local fare ranging from camping accessories to tableware. Stop by here for unique clothing finds, brightly patterned notebooks, and local beauty brands.

Lot, Stock, and Barrel

This spot, located just across the street from The Pie Hole, features denim, vintage tee shirts, and custom embroidery and stitching. It's just icing on the cake that the owners are absolutely wonderful. Stop by here for a new denim coat or a custom monogram on the best jacket in your closet.
