PLACES: A guide to Abbot Kinney in Venice, CA.
Abbot Kinney is a street located in Venice, CA that epitomizes the beach bum Los Angeles aesthetic. Formerly a spot only visited by the locals, Abbot Kinney has become one of the most sought after locations in Los Angeles. Lined with plant based restaurants, boutiques filled with flow lace dresses, mystical crystals, and friendly faces we're taking you to our favorite spots on this beachy-keen street.
The first stop on our journey is Gjusta bakery. The highlight of this bakery located just off of Abbot Kinney is certainly it's classic, almost vintage aesthetic. With white brick walls and gorgeous outdoor seating area, beautifully crafted pastries, and finessed latte art, it has become one of the most instagrammed spots in Venice. Another impressive highlight is the fact that Gjusta cures all of their fish and bakes their bagels in store. Head over there for some fresh baked bagels and lox!
The next stop on our Venice adventure is Warby Parker! Warby Parker is one of our favorite shopping spots because it is both fashionable and affordable. WP carries frames for every shape and size face for under $200. Whether you're looking for reading glasses or non prescription sunnies, Warby Parker is the place to go.
At this point we have walked all the way down Abbot Kinney and we are absolutely famished. We walked by all of the overpriced restaurants and stumbled into this vegan falafel spot right next to Blue Star donuts. Fala Bar is a 100% vegan falafel bar with a menu that features falafel burgers, sweet potato falafel, kale falafel, and incredible falafel bowls. With friendly employees, all natural and fresh ingredients, it's easily our favorite lunch spot on Abbot Kinney. Head over for a full meal or order a snack cup for a quick nutritious bite!
